New Lone Delver Logo

I have a new logo for The Lone Delver and Lone Delver Games courtesy of Simari Design and Illustration. One well-equipped delver forging into the unknown torch in hand ready for fame and fortune; please note that he is also human. I'm really very happy with the way it came out and I cannot recommend Simon Lee Tranter and Mari Volmar highly enough. I'm currently working on updating the design and color scheme of my blog to match the new logo so be prepared for some frequent changes in appearance.

  3. Very Nice. I like the fact that you went with a human delver, most TandT fans would have gone with a Troll. By going with a human, you're showing some Sword and Sorcery roots often missing from TandT. By the Way, I finally got time to read the latest Trollzine last week. Great issue. Good job and thank you for ensuing TZ didn't die a too soon death. I plan on reviewing it in my blog soon.

  4. Superb logo! Simon Lee Tranter and Mari Volmar are talented people. Your lone delver seems to be in a C letter (well, it could be a moon): why?

  5. A 'C' eh? You're the second person to make that comment Grrraall. I did not have that impression, it is simply a frame for the lone delver; I view it as a doorway he is stepping through.

  6. When we were designing the logo, we needed a suitable framing design for the delver figure and hit upon the idea of a Celtic crescent moon. This design is traditionally associated with the ever-changing nature of things and the relationship of all things in reality. It also represents the goddess of nature. We felt the ever changing nature of things is representative of adventure and the dynamics of role-playing games, and seeing as Trollworld is also ruled over by a goddess, we felt it was pretty apt. On top of that, we also felt that the shape suggested the delver is exploring a cavern or dungeon.

Thanks for all the kind words and comments, and a big thanks to Dan for asking us to design the logo. :)
